I did a group interview with Noel Gallagher yesterday. Notoriously outspoken, moody, and pissy, he didn't disappoint. He clowned other bands, proclaimed Oasis to be the 7th greatest band of all time (He then listed the six ahead... I forgot the order, but he had The Beatles at #1 which I concur), and he said this gem...
"China banned Oasis because I took part in this Tibet Charity gig 12 years ago, one that I don't even remember. But fucking communists got long memory"--Noel Gallagher

I was saddened today by the news that Manu Ginobili will be out for the remainder of the season and playoffs.
The biggest reason is because Ginobili is one of my favorite players and his game is fun to watch. (He's the second best Spur). And the other reason is because the Spurs are the only team that could give the Lakers a fight.
Now? The Lakers are gonna cakewalk through the West.
Meanwhile in the East, Cavs and Celtics will be a dogfight.
It's either gonna be Lakers vs Celtics...Read more
Speed is perfect.
It's got everything a guy could want in a movie.
It's got action (self explainatory)
It's got intentional comedy (That tourist dude from LA)
It's got unintentional comedy (Keanu Reeves trying to be serious. "I'M FROM THE EFFF BEEE EYE! WHOA!!"
It's got explosions.
It's got an over the top villi...Read more
I was at a Carnegie's tonight hanging out with Cassidy. The place plays mostly classic rock (mostly they did throw in some Nsync)... AC/DC, Journey, Bowie, etc.
But twice in one hour, they played Kings of Leon. In fact the Kings were the only band to get repeat play.
"Everyone at the bar was just singing the lyrics, I can't believe how big they have become," said Cassidy.
I thought the same thing three weeks ago when I was in LA. Since I badly missed dr...Read more
3/29 8:30 to 9:30...Earth Hour.
The idea was to turn off all the lights during the hour to save energy.
I was skeptical about HK doing this, cause you know... it's HK. If it was some hippie area like I dunno, freaking Berkeley, California, then sure, it'd be pitch black. But HK, Honestly? Naw I didn't think so.
But I was wrong. Most of the lights were off by the harbor, except for two companies.
Sanyo and Gome.
Now I know the brand Sanyo... but to quote The Rock... What, IN THE BLUE HELL, is GOM...Read more
HKIFF... I love it man! This whole week--running and chasing all around for interviews. Nevermind the fact we getting no love this year (don't blame them though... they just looking at circulation numbers), it was still great, man. As a film geek, walking around Filmart put a grin on my face.
I got tickets to see The Good The Bad The Weird...it's this Korean Western that's heavily influenced by Eastwood's The Good The Bad and the Ugly...it's gonna be amazing. I know it.
I also wanted to catch all them...Read more
I was on my way to lunch today and as I was walking by the Osage Gallery on Caine Road, a near naked body of Chow Yun Fat caught my eye.
In Wilson Shieh's latest exhibition Chow Yun Fat's Dressing Room, he paints CYF and several of his iconic film characters, including Hui Man Keung (from The Bund), Mark Gor (from A Better Tomorrow), and Ah Long (From Johnnie To's Al...Read more
Man, if any of you like basketball, chances are you're aware of the fact that Gary Payton and Chris Webber are now doing an NBA analyst show every Tuesday. If you are no aware, then you need to get on youtube and start watching. You can simply type in "Gary Payton Webber NBA TV", or perhaps "the best damn thing on TV and the reason every American look forward to Tuesday nights" instead.
This is the loosest most fun-filled sports show on television. And you get the sense that it's not an act, GP and Webber reall...Read more

Very, very stressed lately. Bombarded by double standards at work and outside of work. It gets to a point when I wonder if these hypocrites realize how ridiculous it is for them to get at me for something they do plenty. I don't dislike them. Have plenty of respect for both. And I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because I really think they don't realize how big a hypocrite they're being. They'r...Read more
So at the Grammy Awards, two "musicians" wanted to meet Radiohead but were turned down. It was nothing personal, Thom Yorke is anti-social. I mean look at the guy.
When you reach a certain level of "rock greatness", you just can't help but be fucking weird. Look at Rivers Cuomo, who painted his room pitch black and locked himself in there for months, or Jack White, who is obsessed with the number three and avoids technology. Or how about Cobain?
Thom Yorke definitely fits into t...Read more
