Yes! After basically not sleeping the entire Sunday night on through Monday, I've fixed my sleeping hours. I went to bed last night at 2am and woke up right now at 9:30, which is about as "normal" a sleeping schedule as I'll ever have.
Now I'm drinking milk, listening to some fucking Zeppelin, grabbing breakfast, then getting down to business. Feels good to start work at 9:30 instead of 2pm.
Interviewing Mr TM Lee, the creator of Holga camera today. I'm excited cause he hasn't done an...Read more
So I'm blogging at 8am. No I didn't wake up early; I haven't slept. I haven't slept well for a while now, did I run over a kid and then block it out of my mind or something, wtf?
At least I'm making productive use of my time though. I just went to California Fitness and was delighted to learn that at 6am, they don't have their music on. If you've been to Cali Fitness, you'd know they have the shittiest collection of music: roc...Read more

Anyway, I'm freezing my ass off here in Habittu again and I'm stuck on this 4000 word feature. I'm on word 22.
So I took a break and am following Summer Sonic on Twitter. Obviously, seeing a rock show in Japan is something I've wante to do since I've been in HK but things just never worked out.
Well,...Read more
Alright, watching Do The Right Thing right now. My quest to re-watch this started a year ago when that Spike Lee dissed Driving Miss Daisy and big upped his own movie. I've written about the film on and off for the past year and was passively searching for it around HK.
Couldn't find it. And I was content on waiting...but then a few things happened to make my urge for Do The Right Thing go up tenfolds: First there was this random out-of-the-blue review in SCMP, then a friend blogged about how rad Public Enemy was in Japan and ...Read more

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XGi70r-6W4 BTW, fantasy hoops players. Pick Kevin Durant in the top four next year. He's gonna drop 30 and 7 a game with two threes. Take it from a dude who won it all in 04, 06 and 08.
You gotta feel for Portland though, first Bowie over Jordan and now Oden over Durant? They'll be forever known for these two draft blunders.
I was at Dymocks browsing through the motivation section. Tthe books are only really on two subjects, and they're areas of life I've failed in for most of my 27 years.
I hate Hong Kong bookstores. I know there is more to life than just that and that. But because HK bookstores are so small they don't have room in the motivation section to store other stuff.
Over in the states, the same section at Borders would have books on how to work on your golf swing, how to calculate pot odds in poker, how to box o...Read more
Saw GI Joe screening tonight. Ironically, the distributors in the states refused to run a screening (usually a sign for bad movies) but in HK they had thus huge screening at Star Hall (where they hold concerts). It was the biggest screening I've ever attended. Movie is surprisingly not bad. Best part is Joseph Gordon Levitt and Brendan Frasier have small roles in it. Brendan Frasier is unintentional comedy gold like Nic Cage so seeing his mug made me crack up. JGL is my boy, we're the same age and I've watched him as a kid in Angels in t...Read more
I posted a link to this Washington Post piece a few days back about their writer writing about Gawker taking his piece and blogging about it, which the WP writer felt was borderline stealing. I thought he overreacted then and well Gawker has fired back.
Newspaper style writing vs casual "blog" writing are two different beasts that should be able to co-exist. I'm not really familiar with the former, having on...Read more
