Went into the park, took some photos. It had snowed for a day and a half. A foot of snow. Snow covered all the trees. The sun wasn't out, so there was an eerie quiet grey feeling. After a while I wanted color, I wanted to find someone wearing some red, as luck would have it, a man with a red sweater walked by. I followed him around for a while, just to get a shot.

Just finished reading this amazing book. I always thought Patti Smith was a hard core rocker, drugs and all that but by reading her book she is quite the opposite of what I expected. I was amazed how gentle and sensitive her writing is. The first glimpse I had of her sensitivity was when reading her interview with Johnny Depp for Vanity Fair. Here is the short horror film I worked on for the 48 hour film project. Use headphones or good speakers for get better feeling for the original music.
Synopsis: Tony Chen, an out of work reporter invites his friends to his housewarming party. They don’t know they are about to become his next big story. The Roaming Room is a horror short film created for the 2010 48 Hour Film Project

I was lucky enough to work on this short film for the 48 hour film festival in HK last spring. Even though the editing wasn't finished in time and our film wasn't eligible for any awards, the committee let it be screened in it's unfinished state.
Marc has been working on post-production and sound. Don't know what the plan is, maybe it will appear on You Tube or he will submit this fab horror film to short film fests. Let's see what happens. Read more

Sat around talking to my friends who have a music promotion company, LiveLoud....they promote music artists in Asia and have a recording sound studio in Thailand.
They work with Wordy and told me to look him up. Didn't know his sound was this cool.

So, we sat outside for 5 hours in the sweltering heat, on little stools in Aberdeen, waiting to do one scene in the Jumbo Restaurant. It was a scene in a casino, we had to be the gamblers, patrons, high-end types. We had to look good, dressed for a black tie event, ready to spend money. Make-up artist, hair stylists, the works, got us ready only to melt and sweat for hours. Had some water and a lunch box. Then it was time to go over.

I was watching the 1947 version of Miracle on 34th Street last night, like I do every year around this time. But for the first time didn't fast forward through the beginning bit of the video and saw this original trailer. It's very funny and very Hollywood of the 40s and 50s. To think that 20th Century Fox made this in the 40s and now makes films like Avatar. If you can find this this 1947 version of this film, watch it, simple but moving.
