I am helping to promote this very powerful play. Dennis Kelly will be in Hong Kong the weekend of Dec 11-12, he will attend the Saturday night performance and we will hold a Q & A session afterwards. It's a great opportunity to meet and interact with an internationally known living playwright.
I'm organizing a reception before the performance as well to be held in the lobby of the Arts Center in Wanchai. Details TBA.
Is she the next Woody Allen? Lena Dunham lives in Tribeca, graduated from Oberlin, and has a screwy look on life. This indie film was released just on the 12th Nov. Lots of quirky one-liners, self-deprecating humor.....

I just came back from a week in LA, busy, meeting people. Yet the reason I went over was to be at the funeral of a friend, perhaps more a celebration of her life. She struggled with and fought cancer for 10 years, but her voice is still alive in recording and films. There were 600 people at her memorial service, many recognizable hollywood types, many, many friends I haven't seen for years. love you Michelle.

Just came across this review in a new HK publication....an Italian culture magazine, Antipasto.
The Italian Chamber underwrote the sold out production of Pirandello's play, Six Characters in Search of an Author.

So went to Speak Up last Weds, hadn't been for a long time and always lots of talented people around. A few people recognized me from the Jazz Poetry night that I used to emcee and organize and asked me what happened, why I stopped. I guess I've gotten really busy with other things and it made me think TIME to START again.
So, the next Jazz Poetry night will be Dec 2nd and I'll post details here when we know.
Want to talk about Greg, who is an amazing improv musician. He sings songs that are stories...Read more
We had 6 sold out shows at the Shouson with awesome audiences. People came dressed up in Rocky gear, brought props and some audiences were ready with all the rice, cards, newspapers, and the right audience participation responses, It was a fun show to perform in!!

Our film was screened last night, didn't win any official awards, BUT had great audience reaction. I think the gore factor worked. I didn't get to see it, had another event on, but did get to the 48Hr film project wrap party. Congrats to Robot Entourage, their film goes to Miami!!!
Check out this link for screen stills, shot and edited by Melissa, our behind the scenes set dresser, blood mixer, gore handler.
And thanks to Jacqueline, Marc, and JoJo, for working with a skeleton crew and getting it done in t...Read more
