I've been so busy working, there is little time to spend on the computer setting up a web presence, but finally I've started.
I have a website that I've just uploaded so of my work and have figured out to link a blog to it, so check out the beginning of the site:
There is also something I have found through my Instagram community (IG is a photo sharing space only through iPhone, sign up if you love photography, lo...Read more
Today I had the amazing chance to meet the Latvian prime minister at a lunch hosted by Roger King, the acting Latvian counsel general in HK. Afterwards, we all went to the premier of the film AMAYA which was shot here last year and in which I have a very small non-speaking role. Kaori Momoi, who played the lead role in the film was also here for the premier. She is a magnetic person, sparkly and full of life. Her role in the film was exactly opposite, so it was great to see her in person.

I just filmed a few scenes on Xu Jinglei's new film called Intimate Enemies 親密敵人. She is one of the top mainland female actresses and also has had huge success directing. Her most recent film Go Lala Go has been a run away hit since it opened April 15th. It also stars Stanley Huang who is a hip-hop idol.Same leads. More dramatic plots. Those are the reasons why director Xu Jinglei has called her new film an updated version of her office romance drama " Read more
I just spent 2 days at an intensive acting workshop with Jeanne Hartman who came in from LA. She is an amazing coach, completely inspirational and opens up new ways of thinking for each actor. We worked on scenes, and even as we watched each one, Jeanne gave comments that were so helpful to anyone working in the industry. AND I met all sorts of truly talented and creative people there too.
Check out Jason Tobin's site for info on the next workshops in Dec:
Really, thank you for visiting and seeing what is new and happening in the arts and creative community here in Hong Kong. I never thought that so many of you would visit my artist page when I set it up. I hope I can keep things just as active and inspiring for the rest of the year.
Here is a photo I took while on set with the gorgeous Aaron Kwok, filming 百年浮城. or 100 years Floating City. It's a film set in the 80s in Hong Kong and looks to be really very good. Also starring Gregory Rivers, who is known ...Read more
Last year I had an amazing experience of being a living work of art. Karen Yui and her team of 2 spent 4 hours body painting two of us. This was probably one of my more primal experiences so far, the painting was beautiful in that it existed only for the amount of time that it stayed on my body. Karen's art now lives only in photos and a quick glimpse in this promo video for HK ART Fair 2011.
Check out right around the 1.55 - 2.10 mark of the body painting work in progress from May 2010.
Also be sur...Read more
This is a very cool project that is going on world wide through the internet. The photographer Chase Jarvis has set himself up in the Ace Hotel in NYC, has a huge gallery space, and people from around the world submit digital photos to go onto a live photo stream in the gallery. Some are printed and then put on the wall even if briefly. Take a look and share what you see by submitting some images. Just go to this link and see what it's all about.
Check out this video made by Joe Maritnez, who directed the short Metropark, which is where I met him while working on that film. This was conceived and made in a two day period. Totally talented guy.

It's been a busy month ever since I closed with the original stage piece I was doing, The Divine Mrs Sheridan. There is talk that the director wants to take it to various Fringe Festivals.
Immediately after closing, I spent a week working on the official Macau tourist promo video with an amazing team lead by Jason Kwan. While we were working, he got news that he was up for one of the 5 best cinematographers at the HK Film Awards for work on Merry-Go-Round which he totally deserved. It was great to work with a ...Read more
