4th Anniversary Party at the HK Jockey Club - Week 3

It took a two week delay thanks to the Typhoon, but we finally finished off our 4th Anniversary celebration at the HK Jockey Club on Wednesday night!   the first two weeks were a big success, so I was pretty confident we would have a good night, especially with the solid performers we had lined up.

What I didn't expect was the size of the crowd!

Asian Film Review: "Alien Vs Ninja" (2010)

Like Snakes on a Plane, "Alien vs Ninja" is one of those movies you get just for the title.  the execution will never match what the title inspires...

A low budget Japanese action flick... the film is ba...Read more

Biking - Ma On Shan to Saikung the hard way!

Its been a while since I did a good biking blog!  Not that I haven't been biking,  its just that I've been sticking to boring routes between Shatin and Tai Wo for the most part the last few months.  A quick flat ride where I can punch out like 13 km in an hour.  Not very noteworthy so I haven't been taking any pictures to share.

But the weather was TOO nice this past weekend for me to want to stick to the beaten path... (especially considering that the beaten path would be full of dumb asses on...Read more

Eighteen Thousand people!

about to hit the sack, its been a long day.  we had the 3rd week at Happy Valley tonight... it was really successful and the place was PACKED... they told me there were over 18,000 people there total,  much more than the previous two weeks (not just because of us of course, but because it was the final race at Happy Valley of the season!)

Thanks to everyone who helped out, especially Elena who did a very good job!   Thanks also to all the bands and artists who helped make these events very successful.  I'll upload my pic...Read more

Redbull F1 Dragon Run in Hong Kong

Yesterday under the shadow of Hong Kong's IFC,  Redbull made history again.  Proving that last year's Flugtag wasn't a fluke,  Red Bull again managed to pull of one of the biggest privately organized public events I've seen in Hong Kong.

This time it wasn't homebuilt airplanes,  it was all about motorsports, specifically F1!

Asian Film Review: "Iris: The Movie" (아이리스 : 더 무비 / 아이리스 - 극장판 , 2010)

Imagine if you took a whole season of '24' and tried to boil it down into a two hour feature film.  That's basically exactly what 'Iris the Movie' is...  'Iris' was a 2009 Korean TV action-drama VERY similar to '24'... full of spies, double crosses and shoot outs... and they decided to make a film ve...Read more

I got to watch the world premiere of Treasure Inn ( 財神客棧) at ScreenSingapore on Tuesday night.  Here's an EARLY review!

It's a throwback kungfu comedy from Wong Jing starring Nicholas Tse and Nick Cheung as a pair of rookie constables who stumble on a  case of robbery committed by a team of martial ar...Read more
