I got to watch the world premiere of Treasure Inn ( 財神客棧) at ScreenSingapore on Tuesday night. Here's an EARLY review!
It's a throwback kungfu comedy from Wong Jing starring Nicholas Tse and Nick Cheung as a pair of rookie constables who stumble on a case of robbery committed by a team of martial arts assassins and are falsely accused of committing the crime they were investigating.
Much hilarity ensues...
www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com --> www.twinsthatlooklikehitler.com This is not award winning film-making here, but it is generally entertaining. Except for the CG elements, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this film and one Wong Jing might have made 10 or 20 years ago. Like those movies, they're silly and forgettable but keep your interest with a good looking cast, and a decent chuckle thrown in at least once every few minutes.
Very solid 6/10, especially because of the supporting role by Kungfu Master supreme Philip Ng.
