Last Saturday we went to watch Paul Wong and Ka Keung tear up the HK Coliseum with their "This is Rock & Roll" concert. It was a great show with both rock legends starting everything off with Beyond songs and then taking turns showcasing their individual hits. Last week while HK was hit by typhoon signal number 9 I thought for sure everything was going to get cancelled but thankfully nobody got spooked and the shows went on. Last week I flew back to San Diego to for a week to renew my driver's license and to catch up with some good friends. I had such a blast and was so tempted to stay longer but I had to be back in the studio the next day. Good thing because my In-n-Out everyday diet was gonna kill me after another week....haha!

A few weeks ago Gibson master luthier Ren Ferguson came to town and shared his experiences of being one of the driving forces behind the Gibson Montana factory. Pretty much every Gibson acoustic is made by hand from their plant. Ren spoke about getting to work with some of the best players while making special one-off guitars for their thousands of clients. Last Thursday we went down to the HK Art Fair and got to check out some great stuff while catching up our good friend Simon Birch. This was the art fair's second year which had over 110 galleries from all around the world showing pieces by some truly amazing artists. I just wanted to take a minute to give props to the Alivenotdead crew for keeping this amazing community going and for doing their best to help promote the local music scene. I was glad to be apart of the show last week and was stoked to play with such talented musicians and friends. Alivenotdead 2nd anniversary party is this weekend and it's going to be insane.Hardpack, 24 Herbs, Josie, FBI, Eccentric, and a bunch of other bands including myself will play so come down and rock out. Good tunes, good peeps, and a good cause!
