I've been listening to The Gaslight Anthem's "The 59 Sound" a lot lately. They're a band from New Jersey and are on Side One Dummy records (Flogging Molly, MXPX, Suicide Machines). I think they're a cross between Against Me and Bruce Springsteen so their sound is pretty unique. Plus their lyrics are cool too. Check it out!

We made it to the Tropic Thunder premier the other day and that movie rocked! I was surprised how funny it was and was stoked on all the cameos. I must say Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise had the coolest parts for sure. Check it out for some good laughs and remember "you never go full retard!"

We went to the Eugene & The Pows classic rock show the other night and it kicked ass! If you haven't seen Eugene Pao, Jun Kung, Adrian (Audiotraffic), Peter Moore, and Cobra rip it up you're missing out. They tore through all sorts of cool tunes including stuff by Black Sabba...Read more
Last week I caught up with my good friends Eric So and Ah Dee (Howard) and we had some great dim sum while we talked about current art & designer toy scene. Eric has been working on some insane toy/figure stuff that should be out soon and Ah Dee continues to work with some amazing artists. A few days later I got a special gift in the mail and freaked out. Ah Dee sent me the "Love & Care" Yoshitomo Nara stamps he had specially made for friends and family ...Read more
Another artist I've been into for a while is Dave Kinsey. I first noticed his work while I was going to school in San Diego and I would recognize his characters on walls, on pillars, and on skateboards. He also worked under the tag name "Bust" and started BLK/MRKT back in 2001 with Shepard Fairey (Obey GIant) and just kept on doing some really cool artwork ever since.
Banksy recently put up some new pieces in New Orleans and they're pretty cool. They were done in response to the way the government has been handling the cleaning up after Hurricane Katrina. But putting up the new pieces had a draw back......
“Three years after Katrina I wanted to make a statement about the state of the clean-up operation............…Only later did it dawn on me that if you choose to do this by drawing all over their stuff, you’re actually only slowing down that clean-up operation.”
Picked up some new Be@rbricks a few weeks ago and I'm pretty stoked on them. I've been collecting Medicom/Kubrick stuff forever and they're so damn addicting. My office already looks like a Mong Kok toy shop......haha....

I've been a fan of Jeff Soto's work for a while. I first noticed his work in mags like Juxtapoz and at galleries like BLK/MRKT andJonathan Levine. He also released a new book called "Storm Clouds." I haven't picked it up yet but I'm sure it's got to be pretty cool. Check it out....
Last week was a pretty fun week. I was able to watch a bunch of friends perform and support their new releases. We also made a day trip to Macau and got to check out Zaia at the Venetian which was cool too. All this new music made me amped on the new tunes I'm working on so hopefully they will see the light of day soon......
