It seemed like a great idea at the time. Last minute costume that took a solid hour to put together with random things I found around the apartment. It turned out alright. One problem was that I couldn't see anything except the floor in front of my feet. There was a tail that you can't see too.More pics.Hallowen Day: After a long day working on a Dutch documentary, it was ...Read more
This was actually from early September but forgot about it till just 5 minutes ago when I wanted to post something but decided that I shouldn't post just yet (will be posting again soon enough I guess I'm saying). Anyways I was asked to do an interview and I said yes and this is it. I didn't read it again before posting but not everything is 100% correct. Some for the better, some for the worst, however it goes, it's all there so I'm happy for it.Once again, tryi...Read more
I'm not a photographer for thank goodness Ty Phillips from pixarola.com so now I have something to share.I think I said something about doing this commercial while I was in Vancouver, here are some behind the scene shots.Let's start here. This is Rick Tae and this commercial is his brain child. Rick is an established actor in Vancouver and was a regular on Bravo!'s "Godiva's&q...Read more
Spent the last 3 and a half weeks in Vancouver and now it's just about over. Time continues to fly by and I'm been trying to make the best of it. Seeing old friends, family, hellos and farewells, it was a nice to come back and see everyone that has been there for me since the beginning. On the film side I've been quite busy as well. Just wrapped up a commercial this weekend. I was actor/props/costumes and that was a great experience that led me to sleep 13 hours once we were done. Would have been ...Read more
Been awhile so just thought I would write to keep people updated but more for my reference when I look back one day and wonder what I did during this time. Been working on the visual effects on the What Women Want project. Learning the ins and out of an animation studio and an entire process that was once invisible to me. It's a lot of work. And I can finally imagine that simpsons reference when they tell you about the Koreans who animate them (Koreans just seem to have a knack for animation). Stressful at times as well but that's what'...Read more
After 2 solid months of shooting, What Women Want China is finally wrapped on production. Acting in Chinese was definitely a great first experience for film in China. The crew on the production was very cool and once I was done with the acting days I went over to the VFX department to help out some people who have become really close friends. We had our wrap party this last weekend that went over well with just a few drunks and are about to start post-production. Film will be coming out next year on Valentine's Day all over Asia. Just another birthday, just another year, nothing I need to bother myself with. I've always told myself that and have never really put much importance on my birthday. This year has proven itself to be something else that was just unexpected. A multiple of 12, it is also my year, the tiger. Among that it is the first I will ever spend outside of Vancouver, Canada. So just the type of people surrounding me and Beijing has enriched the experience so much more.I did not plan anything but the night before I started getting invitations and of...Read more
Over the short span of my career I've been fortunate enough to meet and work with a handful of famous Directors, Actors and Actresses from North America and I've been ecstatic for the opportunity each time. Friends are just as excited for me since we grow up in the same environment and look up to the same people, but for me the opinion of my family also matters quite a lot. I grew up seeking approval from my family and it was even more difficult because I did not choose the conventional route of pursuing pia...Read more
My time in Hong Kong is up. This trip easily being the longest and most enjoyable in Hong Kong so it is slightly less exciting to be back in Beijing. But this the feeling you get at the end of most productions where you are there from beginning to end of principal photography. This is the time where the majority of crew and cast hang out and work together for the duration of a project and it feels very much like summer camp to me. You go in on your first day and you see a few familiar faces ...Read more
So I'm in Hong Kong working on a short series with Olivier Malet and Sarah Lian, directed by Jennifer Thyme. Almost done it's been great, having lots of fun. Pictures to come? Maybe. I know I'm a liar, I keep saying I'll be posting more but I keep putting it off. So I'm going to not post as much here. See how that goes.
