After 2 solid months of shooting, What Women Want China is finally wrapped on production. Acting in Chinese was definitely a great first experience for film in China. The crew on the production was very cool and once I was done with the acting days I went over to the VFX department to help out some people who have become really close friends. We had our wrap party this last weekend that went over well with just a few drunks and are about to start post-production. Film will be coming out next year on Valentine's Day all over Asia. Headlining: Andy Lau, Gong Li and the next generation director, Chen Daming (he's here on AnD somewhere). I also participated in the 48 hour film contest this weekend. Since I was still finishing up on What Women Want and I was producing, acting and other things on the short film, I ended up not sleeping for about 3 days. A day of writing, a day of production acting and coordinating our crew of about 25 people (extremely fun but too much for a short film in 48 hours) and then editing. Lots of things happen when you're deprived of sleep and I think the director Jay Hubert and myself started going a little insane near the end when we were the only 2 awake shooting the last scenes. Great learning experience, little ambitious in certain aspects, not enough in others. It's a weird little short. Still haven't been able to catch up on sleep yet but getting there.
