Over the short span of my career I've been fortunate enough to meet and work with a handful of famous Directors, Actors and Actresses from North America and I've been ecstatic for the opportunity each time. Friends are just as excited for me since we grow up in the same environment and look up to the same people, but for me the opinion of my family also matters quite a lot. I grew up seeking approval from my family and it was even more difficult because I did not choose the conventional route of pursuing piano, finishing University or at least having a stable job. Unfortunately as well coming from an Asian family, I came across blank faces when I told everyone the news that I would be working on a feature film and that I would get to meet John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, etc... They eventually did the research and slowly the information of who they were spread but the trickle of "Oh, that guy!" just isn't the same feeling. When I told them that I had a role in this Andy Lau film... Well they just went insane. My mom immediately called all of my aunts and uncles, and when I go back to visit I'm sure I'll be hearing the brunt of it. I haven't spoken to any of my family except for my mom since working on the film but I can feel the air of anticipation. Finally getting the chance to work with one of Asia's biggest superstar has definitely left its mark on me. Watching the way Andy works is definitely something I aspire to and he's a professional from beginning to end. The most amazing part is that every day on set we have crowds of people that just want to get a glimpse at him and whenever he can, he will make the effort to go and greet them, sign a few autographs before he's needed again on set. Class act all the way, happy for the opportunity to work with him. This was my last day on set. Andy just had his last day and will be heading back home. The working title of the film as far as I know is "我知女人心“. It's a remake of "What Women Want" with a twist of Asian culture and it will be a hit. Currently scheduled to come out on Valentine's day next year. Don't worry, I'll remind you again later.
