I Once Knew [my music]

At the end of last year I wrote and produced a song.  It's not something I do often.  The lovely Arden Cho lent her voice to the track.

I once knew a breath on my cheek how it felt when fingers would seek to find then hold my hand.

I once knew waking with an arm 'round my side how it felt to show more than hide the secret things I planned.

I once knew someone like you someone who knew me and I knew you too no codes or ticks to construe.

I once knew one thing was true and a simple moment could imbue my day with beauty. Adieu.

And it's hard to know how long those moments last. And it's harder to stop and leave my love in the past.

I still find myself wanting abstract moments back. If I could just lie next to your body.

I once knew what it meant to be understood, they were only words but they would be from the life I'd known..

i once knew a moment when our motion would slow gazing in our eyes we'd both know that moment was our own.

I once knew someone like you someone who knew me and I knew you too no codes or ticks to construe.

I still watch the sky like we used to every dawn, and I turn say that it's beautiful _ _  but you're gone.

And it's hard to know how long those moments last. And it's harder to stop and leave my love in the past.
