A whole lot has been going on for me for the past month. A lifetime decision, a new music project in the works and even a little video thing going on. Lots of peeps supporting which is fantastic.
I was in lovely Hawaii, Kauai (small island off Ohau) for a few weeks. When I got back I missed many of the alive parties and ended up with food poisonin' missin' out more events.
Let's see if you can guess what else I've been up to. A picture says a thousand words right? This couldn't be more true:
A proposal on the beach. She said "Yes"
At first I was persuaded to propose at the Alive bday party...I'm glad I didn't. hahaha.
While in Kauai, we all decided to binge eat. Its safe to say now that I am on a diet and working out. My pants are finally falling off. In the meantime this is pretty much all I did in paradise.
The excitement started off with economy plane food. Acutally I love plane food. I'm probably the only person who looks forward to eating these meals. I clean my plates nicely.
In Narita eating japanese. Hmmm. Not much to choose from in the airport though. The shopping has expanded, but I was so looking forward to sushi.
First sandwhich in Kauai. Patty melt...damn good. Damn good.
First ice-cream, COLDSTONE. Thats right, who wants to invest with me and open one in HK? a brilliant idea. I was so bummed they took off my favorite combo, but luckily, the employees knew exactly what I wanted. Strawberries mixed with real shortcakes and sweet ice cream. It was like eating heaven.
Of course the bbq's were off the hook! The local food in Kauai are pretty much considered heart attakcs on a plate. This was an exception, korean short ribs. My fiance ate these like there was no tomorrow.
The local shaved ice is pretty cooling on a hot day. Hmmmm...could use one now.
How dare they not have Carl's JR in HK? Just for that we ordered big time and stocked up on the Zucchini!! I probably had a stroke without knowing it by now.
This was our engagement party. MORE FOOD. I got full by just looking at all the food. The popular lau lau (pork) was served with the best mac salad loaded with mayo along with pu pu platters (pronouced poo poo). The pu pu's are crazy. Its like unlimited supply of fresh sashimi tuna and salmon mixed with all sorts of goodies.
Oh alright, I'll stop with the food. Guess I should put up some couple photos yea?
The canyon at Kauai.
What's good? in Kauai. That's a helicopter flying near my head...oh yea and that badboyben's shirt I'm wearing. It's probably the only shirt of his thats gotten fresh air.
Where can I find a place like this in HK? Might just have to fly out for our wedding.
In the mountains up lupe road. We jumped intot he freezing fresh water in a small hole. The current was so strong you could do breast strokes in one spot and not even move.
You had to go up some pretty windy crazy turns to get to this point. We even passed the famous gate from the movie Jurassic park.
After the mountain freezing water we went straight to biking and hit up this fantastic beach. I've already forgotten the name.
I got to spend time with my cousin and set up some pretty long slip and slide. You had to be 12 to slide on and weighing no more than 90 pounds. I put it to the test and it still held up.
And this is why they suggest the age and weight warning:
I could've rolled down that grass. But nontheless, it was a total blast and I even got a good work out.
The nights ended with rock band and me using my cousins pimped out guitar hero gutiar.
Last but not least...a final food pic. This has a story. We flew out to Honolulu for the weekend to visit family. When out of nowhere my mom and dad popped out. It was a pleasant surprise cause we had no idea they flew out. So dad, who loves his local HK food, took us to p.f chang. I think he kinda scared the waiters cause this is what we ordered:
Thats how dad rolls. Everywhere we go we order mass amounts of food and he loves to have a little taste of everything.
Well, the trip is long over. Its back to reality. Since we've been back, its all about the wedding plans.
I'll keep ya'll posted on some of the projects we're workin on. For now enjoy these vids of dad rockin' it out.
