“So to update you all on some info we’ve been not so keeping secret, Shawn and I flew out to San Francisco to work with The Stunt People so they could film a fight for the 4th and Final Episode of “Those Who Go To Hell”. This occurred way before when I personally asked everyone (meaning Leo, Paul, Jon, Jay, Derek, Eric, Dennis, Ray, Shaun, etc) to come out to Chicago and be a part of this project, as I would love to work with them and felt this was the best opportunity to do so. ...Read more
This (June 9th) was the last day Shawn and Manny would be around sniff. Ed took the guys out to San Fran Chinatown and Lombard while I enjoyed myself at work. At four they came back to my place and we blasted through our short in the back yard area for about 3 hours, exhausted ourselves in the sun, and finished. We went out to a diner and I took the guys to the airport at 5 A.M. They sent me a cut of the garage fight and it looked awesome. So if you ever get a chance to work with Lazy Brown Productions, jump at the chan...Read more
I was just over at IMDB and noticed that in the past month Contour’s rating has jumped 3 stars. Not only that, but IMDB has removed many of the low scores it received (14 or so 1’s and 2’s), making me think that the low scores may have been from the same person or website. Now it’s at a glorious 7.6.Read more

Today we set out to finish up Episode 4 of Lazy Brown’s “Those Who Go to Hell”. We went out to SF State’s parking lot, shot all the death scenes, finished without interruption, and continued to shoot everything in between. We managed to get some great shots, and I finally got my little showdown with Shawn.
Immediately after shooting our friend Devon showed up with a Red One camera ( www.red.com), and we shot some test footage. It - looks - INSANE. We all did a little bit o...Read more
Today we set off to do the second day of shooting for “Those Who Go to Hell” and went out to the SF State parking garage at 4:30. We arrived, did some dialog, and started shooting the fight. Everything was going peachy until two RA’s showed up and wanted to kick us out. I flashed by student ID and told them we’d be out of there soon, and to just let us shoot the rest of the night and we wouldn’t be back. They approved, left, and we kept shooting… until they came back again, and they kicked us out for real. Now we’ll have to rely...Read more
Shaun Bernal and Manny Manzanares of Chicago’s Lazy Brown Productions came out our way to the San Francisco Bay Area to work on their noir series “Those Who Go to Hell”. They came in on Thursday afternoon and made themselves at home at my place in Emeryville. Tony Chu of Zero Gravity came by later that evening to drop off some pads and a dolly I bought from him, thereby manifesting a trio of internet stunt groups all under the same roof!
Come morning, Pete helped us start doing a short. It’s a goofy one...Read more
