Manny Manzanares of Lazy Brown Productions took a healthy number of photos during our trip to North Carolina to work on Micah Moore’s “Beat Down Boogie.” Enjoy the sexiness.
Jose Montesinos just released a new short starring himself and Stunt People member Ed Kahana. Featured also is Adam Phelps from Zero Gravity. The two duke it out for a couple minutes, and Jose’s comedy is on point as usual, so be sure to check it out
Micah Moore put together a nice little concept poster for Beat Down Boogie. That’s Law right there in the center. Shawn Bernal and Manny Manzanares from Lazy Brown will probably be some nemeses.
Day 2 - Saturday - November 15, 2008
I started the day off by being dropped off at Micah’s place before any of them woke up. Showered, ate, and a bunch of folks arrived to shoot the big scenes for the day. We packed up and went over to a legal office building where Matt Sumner (from the restaurant fight in “Dogs of Chinatown”) and I had a comedic fight scene involving some decent stunts and a lot of powder… or ‘joint compound’ as the buck...Read more
Day 3 - Sunday - November 15, 2008
The final day of the shoot. We took Manny and Shawn to the airport in Raleigh, then Blake, Micah and I went to a little diner called “Waffle House.” Not bad, but super cheap. I love these places. The polar opposite of safe places like IHOP.

Here’s the Stunt People gym practice from 11/08/2008. All sorts of acrobatics in this one: Front tuck, brandy, front half twist, front full, front 1 3/4 rollout, side aerial, side tuck, suicide front tuck, doorknob (something we’re working on where you jump with your chest forward but do a side aerial, looking forward the whole time), and aerial.
“Dogs of Chinatown” producer Blake Faucette sent me this email today. It’s a list of short reviews from various important folks, all of whom seem to like “Dogs.” Rad.
Hey Everyone,
Here’s a few recent quotes we got about Dogs Of Chinatown. There’s been a lot of positive response to the film and we are very appreciative of the following people for taking the time to give us some kind words that will help us promote the film.

Even ninjas have day jobs.
9 to 5 Ninja is an upcoming martial arts action-adventure mini-series featuring The Stunt People. The series begins with Aya (Anne Lundbom) and Gunner (Eric Jacobus) as two ninjas working for Ninjatel, a San Francisco non-profit that specializes in espionage, surveillance, extraction, and maiming on a ‘case-by-case’ basis.
