Have Stunts, Will Travel
There's one part of our 'Blood Bond' troupe that I can't say enough good things about, and that's our stunt team. As mentioned earlier, our action directors Louis Fan and Ken Yip put an awesome team together, and they have their own kingdom of p...Read more
A funny thing happened on the road to Purma...
Making action movies tends to be a serious business. These scenes involve physical action sequences that are intensely demanding and potentially dangerous, and this business should not be taken lightly.
Having said that, I can't remember laughing as often or as hard as I have with Michael Biehn and the rest of our 'Blood Bond' family.
Here are some fun memories from the story so far.

Simon Says
I’ve known Simon Yam for about as long as I’ve been in this business. He starred in the very first film on which I worked as a producer, ‘Guns and Roses’. This was a Hong Kong actioner shot on location in my then hometown (God help me…) of Birmingham, in London and also in Paris.

Wheels of fury

Emma Pei : Martial model?

We felt we had The Blood Bond pretty much cast, at least in terms of the major rol...Read more
Gunning for trouble.

To begin at the beginning...
I've just begun pre-production on the new film, The Blood Bond. This is actually a project that I conceived at least 10 years ago, and have been working on over the last year and a half.
Given my unique position as a Western person living in Hong Kong who has wor...Read more
The Biehn Machine.
I first met actor Michael Biehn when I helped cast him in a film called 'Dragon Squad'. The director, Daniel Lee, was a huge fan of his work in 'The Rock', and was delighted when Michael agreed to play our antagonist.
As can happen between director and producer, the relationship between Daniel and I became stressed as the film progressed. By the end of shooting, the atmosphere on the set was very tense, and I was counting my blessings that I had Michael,...Read more
Training the Phoenix
It's one thing to write a Kung Fu fighting female bodyguard. It's another to commit this character to the screen in a manner that's fresh and original. There have been previous attempts to create martial monkettes, Charlotte Lewis in 'The Golden Child', Cynthia Rothrock...Read more
