Dorr McElrea race driver, Yuey Tan arrived in Shanghai today for the final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2012 season.
Coming off a podium finish in the Singapore GP, and a fresh deal that will see Tan driving at least till the end of 2013, the International race driver is feeling confident as he enters into the final race weekend of the seson.
"It's not that we think that good results always happen" said an optimistic Tan, "But we know we have pace on some small circuits this year and the trend has been positive so hopefully we translate that into good speed this weekend. Shanghai also happens to be a circuit I've raced at quite a few times this being the ninth visit racing at Jiading. So we have the ingredients for good result."
The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia has not raced a round for five weeks, since the Singapore F1 GP Weekend so Tan will be hoping that he can get right back on song from where he left off.
"It's the same for some of us with over month out of the seat. Others have gone out and done some racing else where. Though for sure our plan is to get right on it when the weekend starts. We spent some time in the simulators back in Singapore over the last week so the mind feels fresh to go racing!"
During the weekend, Tan and the Dorr McElrea Racing are also announcing two partners of the team for 2013 in the form of private communication app, WeChat and Chinese apparel giant, Cartelo at a private event for the McElrea Racing Team and private guests and clients of the Dorr Group.
"Lots of things are going to happen this weekend! We just don't know what. But one thing is for sure, we will be pushing hard."
