Yuey Tan was born in Singapore and showed a great passion for cars and racing since a young age. Moving over to Australia with his family at the age of four, his love for going fast was developed in Adelaide Australia ranging from a whole host of activities. Whether it was downhill mountain biking, karting, or Porsches, the love for speed was clearly evident.

Yuey’s start in motor racing came at a relatively later age, starting to learn his craft at the age of 22. Starting with road cars and track days, he moved on to take part in the Porsche Driving Training Programme hosted up in Queensland, Australia and continued there for several years.

It was only in 2008 that Yuey entered his first race, in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Series. From his very first race out, and with no racing experience, Yuey outqualified two of his compatriots and finished holding his grid spot.

With 2009 seeing Yuey reach the podium steps 7 times this season, we are all here looking forward to more time with the Cup Car in 2010 with the all new challenger from Porsche. Yuey is determined to build on his experience in 2009, and give it another go in 2010.
