Singapore based, Wimobilize McElrea Racing will be running with a
new partner on the car, and team merchandising for the Singapore GP
Weekend. Alivenotdead.com, Asia’s leading social networking website for
Asian celebrities, has been a great way for the team to further
themselves on the regional and international stage.“I absolutely
love alivenotdead.com. It’s got a great community feel and it makes you
come back for more and more. There are heaps of cool users online and
the team diligently updates our blogs, photos and videos on the
website, on a bi weekly basis,” Yuey Tan commented. “I’ve met some
interesting artists from other industries. It’s fantastic that we can
carry on our association with alivenotdead.com. Asian Motorsport is
growing and this is a good place to be. No question.”
In April
2010, alivenotdead.com CEO, Patrick Lee and company COO, Raffi
Kamalian, had the opportunity to ride in the McElrea race car, at the
Beijing Goldernport Circuit. On the day, Wimobilize squad drivers, Yuey
Tan and Danny Chu were on drive duty. Chief Operations, Raffi
Kamalian, commented on his Cup car ride. “I have been a motorcyclist
for a number of years, so I'm no stranger to the speed and the thrill
of riding in the Cup car, but its definitely different when you're not
the one in control. In that respect it reminded me a bit more of a
roller coaster ride... you basically have to strap in and enjoy the
ride (and have faith in the driver and team that you'll be safe!)”
In
regards to the partnership with Wimobilize McElrea Racing, Kamalian
continued by saying, “We have tried to be very broad in our community,
so although we are billed as a community for "artists", we also include
professional martial artists, mixologists, animal trainers and of
course professional drivers (which is truly an art in itself). We help
to promote these artists to a wider audience, so the growth in
Motorsport popularity can only help us in this goal.”
The
alivenotdead.com logo will make an appearance for the first time on the
teamwear, on the front chest of the shirts, as well as a large space,
on the side of the racing car. Please visit
