Team News - ART Racing gives McElrea boys chance at FormulaMacau & Zhuhai based ART Racing, headed up by Portugese driver, Rodolfo Avila invited the McElrea Team to have a hand at the Formula Renaults. The test session was planned for Monday morning, after the PCCA round took place at the Zhuhai International Circuit.Formula and GT driver, Avila had this to say about his experience in Formula cars. “Driving the cars will help a driver a lot. Everything happens faster so that when you drive GT cars, things will be easier.”Wimobilize partner, Francis Chin, Flat Six Road & Race Engineering owner, Andy Tatlow, and PCCA driver, Yuey Tan got behind the wheel of the Formula Renault.“Fantastic experience!” exclaimed Tan. “It was great of Rodolfo to allow us to take the cars out and I hope that we have a chance at testing the Formula Renaults again. You can get really late on the brakes, and I am a long way away from the limit of the car. With another test, I think we can get closer to the maximum of the car. This is exciting in driver development.”Singaporean Porsche mechanic and legend, Andy Tatlow also had a 30 minute test, completing a total of 11 laps and a best time of 2:04. “Great to be driving a race car again. It has been a while. Thank you to ART and McElrea Racing for giving me the chance to drive the Formula Renault.
