Singaporean race driver will be ready as ever as he heads into round 2 for the Zhuhai GP.
With the season opener at the Shanghai F1 GP Weekend, Tan finished up with DNF in both of his races. Still not off the mark yet with any championship points Tan currently sits dead last though he will be looking to change that quickly.
"It was very unfortunate what happened to us in Shanghai. We had incredible pace and went faster than Weng and Ringo in a practice session which was a first time."
Though without any points to his name in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia championship, Tan knows that putting in a good solid performance this weekend is critical to stay in the championship hunt for points.
"We definitely realize we are on the back foot now. The guys around my expected championship fight includes boys that all collected a lot of points in Shanghai. So I will just have to work extra hard to claw my way back into contention."
Tan has raced at Zhuhai four times during his career, so this should be something that he can build on. "It's nice that I have been there before. Only problem is just about every driver in China and Hong Kong has driven there a lot so it kind of cancels each other out!"
"We just need to see what we learned from last year, hopefully setup the car quickly and have the head start on the rest of the teams. We know what we need to do."
Yuey Tan will be racing at the Zhuhai International Circuit on May 27-29 for round 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
