I can still remember when I got the phone call from my friend Kenny, back in 97′. He said that Lil Cesar called him to let him know there was an audition for a music vid in L.A. that night. We lived in O.C. at that time, and it’s about a min of a drive, but man, the excitement I felt when we were driving down the 405fwy in the middle of the week on a school night was better than anything I’ve ever felt. (at that time) I really didn’t know what to expect…all I knew was, I was going to go to that audition and do what I do…DANCE! We use to take breakin’ lessons from Lil Cesar (Air Force Crew) so that’s how we got the call in the first place. Practicing breakin in Echo Park was no joke, 3 asian kids hahaha those where the days. All in the name of DANCE! I was always too fat to get the breakin part down, so I just stuck to poppin and lockin~ good thing too, becus boy those breakers in the video were krazy~ literally…Kujo~ that man is off the hinges fo shinges~

So we went to the audition, and thank God, they were looking for a mix array of people, but of course they were limited on the people as well. Me and Kenny both did our solo stuff, and then when they said they needed routine dances that’s when me and the Kenn Dawg busted the Universal Lockin routine that was passed down from Chris Wang one of the OG KABA MODERN. Also one of the main reason why Kaba Modern dances so well. If you go back to when Kaba competed in the Import Showoff’s you’ll see the same routine in those vids back at import showoff days that you see in the DMC vid. Yup the very same routine! hahaha…good times good times.

We had to be there at the butt crack of dawn the next day, and shoot in an abandoned warehouse type place…the director was from Europe. Only thing I could remember about him was he yelled a lot. Kenny was picked and they told me to come just in case. I was happy just to check it out, and in the end, not only did they use me…they gave me alot of face time too:) Didn’t know then but now I look back…God is sooo good to me….I’m able to look at this video now after 12 years…and say to myself…DUDE!!! UR IN A RUN FLIPPIN’ DMC VIDEO!!! How blessed are you!!!

We got paid $325US in cash, and the next day…me and the Kenn Dawg went straight to the mall to buy some fresh new gear, just so we’d look fly the next time we b’z battling at the clubs! (but damn the clothes back then…cross colors haha)

To Solid memories…thank you God. | 話は９７年にさかのぼるけど、友達のKenny から電話もらったときのことは忘れられないよ。彼が言うには　今夜L.AでMVのためのオーデションがあるってリル・シーザーが知らせてくれたらしいんだ。 僕ら、そのころはO.C（オレンジ　カウンテｲ）に住んでたんで、LAは車ですぐのとこだったけど、でもさ　学校のある　ど平日の晩なのに　４０５フリーウェイをすっとばしてく興奮っていうのはいまだかつてないくらい最高の気分だったな。（その時は）これからのことなんて僕にはほんとに見当もつかなかったんだ・・・わかってたのは自分がこれからオーデションに行ってやることだけだった・・・ダンス！僕らはリル・シーザー（Air Forceのメンバー）からブレーキンをよく習ってたんで、最初に僕らにお声がかかってきたんだ。エコーパークでやってたブレーキンの練習はハンパなかった。アジア人のガキが３人で、ははは懐かしいよ。すべてはダンスの名のもとに！ 僕は太ってたのでブレーキンのパートを完璧にこなせなかったんで、ポッピンやロッキンばっかやってたのもよかったのかも。だってビデオでブレーキンやってるやつら、クレージーだった・・・文字通りのKrazy　Kujoなんてのはその際たる者だったな。それで僕らはオーデションに行ったら　、ついてるぜ、　彼らはいろんな（ダンスパート）のを並べたかったらしいんだけど、きてたやつらはもちろん同じようなのばっかだった。僕とケニーはそれぞれのソロのやつをやったんだ、そしたらKABA MODERNのOGの一人,クリス　ワンがやってたようなルーティーンダンスがいるんだって言って、僕とあのKenn Dwagがユニバーサルロッキンに採用してくれたんだ。KABA MODERNのダンスがとてもうまかったのも主な理由だけど。Kabaが競った時のをImport Showoff（←注：サイトの名前）で見てみたらDMCのビデオの中のと同じルーティーンを昔の懐かしいSHOW offで見ることができると思うよ。そそ、まるっきり同じルーティーンなんだって！ははは！・・・good times good times僕らはキャッシュで＄３２５もらって、その次の日・・・・僕とKennDawg　は一目散にモールに最新の服を買いに行ったさ。その次にクラブでバトルするのにハエからミツバチくらいにはみえるようにね！（でもまずった、その当時の服って・・・色がごちゃごちゃしてただったんだ、はは！）すばらしい思い出さ・・・・神様ありがと。
