Let it be a “FUN TAIWAN”!

I’m heading over to Taiwan next weekend to visit my brother and check a new city in Asia. Its a little sad when I think about not having much opportunity to travel outside my workstations: HK, KL and the off-chance SG. So heading to Taiwan is defo overdue.

I’m incredibly thankful to be in the place I am today and taking tiny vacations won’t hurt my career too much! Besides, things are starting to wind down and its been a low-stress time for me. All I can think of is a little RnR for a couple of weeks. I can’t wait and I’m sure there’s too many things to see and do in just a few days. Oooh excitement!! Any AnDers who would like to give me some pointers out there?

personally i liked the National Palace Museum the most. other than that you can see the neighborhood where Monja takes place.... there's a snake market there... (snakes are for eating apparently!?!) :-P

My favorite city in the world is Taipei. But going around the entire island is awesome too. Nightlife, eating, shopping, where to begin? Won't overwhelm, but my favorites; - Shilin Night Market (awesome eats, strolling, fun atmosphere) - Yong Kang Street (awesome eats including Monster Shaved Ice, the original Ding Tai Fung, and endless street stuff that I could eat all day like egg pancakes, black sesame buns) - Nightlife - Primo, Spark, Marquee, Opus - Pamper yourself? My friend opened this spa there: http://thesparklespa.com/ Let me know if you feel like going and I can try to set you up with a "friend" rate. Place isn't cheap, but treat yourself? - Malls to stroll around in: Sogo and Breeze Center Everything is so clean and soothing there. People are kind. The Mandarin is soft. The cabs are easy and even subways are perfect. Man, now I want to go. Have fun!
