Luckily the rain in Tokyo cleared up the next day (and for the rest of the trip). Yeah! Now its time to really get our walk on. Hopefully we'll find some cherry blossoms but first breakfast.....
The Denny's by our hotel is way different from the Denny's in San Diego for sure. This salmon set is now my favorite breakfast ever. Take that pancakes!
It's funny because last week I just saw the same "love" monument in green and blue in the middle of Singapore.
On this clear day my auntie took us to Asakusa to check out the temples. It was pretty packed with tourists so we explored the side streets instead.
This guy was making really cool wood blocks and animals right on the spot. Dope!
The next stall down was selling Doraemon shaped cakes. Since I used to watch that cartoon all the time when I was a kid I had to get some. The cook making them even asked if we wanted to take a picture of him and did a pose. He had a funnier one but I couldn't take the pic fast enough....
A Shrine dedicated to a popular and well loved social worker.
This is an old school Comedy club that looked like it can bring down the house.
Ninja and samurai weapons! I used to run around my house in a ninja costume and also had a few ninja stars that I used to throw at my door. Good times......
Most wanted! Watch out for these dudes....
Not something you see everyday for sure. A whale meat shop! They had it in cans, sashimi, and frozen packages. Crazy!
Then there was the puffer fish shop. If they don't prepare it right you can die from the poison in the fish. I don't think I would risk my life just to try some fish....maybe next time.....
After the temple my auntie took us to a Famous tempura shop. The batter was soft instead of crunchy. Soooo good....
Next on the list was a park in Harajuku to find some cherry blossoms.
These rice wine barrels look cool....
It was rad seeing people walking around town in traditional Kimonos...
While we were there a real wedding was going on at the park. So clean and so fresh!
Hoping to see some cherry blossoms today all we got were tons of big black crows....d'oh......
