I can't believe its been another year! Things seem to go faster and faster the older you get and before you know it we'll be talking about the days when we were going crazy playing in rock bands...ha! I would just like to take this time to thank everyone who supported me this year and took the time to listen. Extra love to all the peeps at Alivenotdead for bringing so many cool people together. Let's all make 2008 one kick ass year to remember!
I hope you all got some cool toys from Santa this year. This year I got a special gift that was from the guys at Tom Lee. It's the new "ROBOT GUITAR" from Gibson!
It literally has a computer and robotic tuners that will change the tuning of your guitar with the push of a button. I believe there are only 4,000 guitars in the first run and that this color is limited to these models.
I used it for the first time at my dad's show playing some of his hits and playing the "Hotel California" solo with Soler's Dino.
Unfortunately the robot guitar won't make you play like Dino....doh!
This week was special too because I got my first Milk Magazine cover with my partners in crime Eric and Jun. These guys are such great musicians and their passion for music is unreal!
The last present I got this year came today from the Radiohead camp. I ordered this 2CD, 2LP, 2 booklet set when they first made their download available and it was totally well worth the wait!
Another cool LP set I got recently was the soundtrack to the new movie about Bob Dylan "I'm Not There." It has the best bands including Sonic Youth, Iron & Wine, Cat Power, Karen O (yeah yeah yeahs), Sufjan Stevens, Jack Johnson, and Eddie Vedder (pearl jam) covering Dylan songs. The best soundtrack of the year for sure!
