In the Spring festival, it may not be a good time to talk
about “death”, but let us face it: we are all born with
the inevitable destiny to die, right? So, why waste
any time and not live every minute of our lives to the
fullest - to LOVE; LAUGH; CRY; LEARN; THINK;
PRAYand to REACH OUT FOR OUR DREAMS!?
Following is a video of the 47-yr-old Prof. Randy Pausch
whohas been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer
and was told in August 2007 to expect a remaining three
to six months of good health only…
On September 18, 2007, Prof. Pausch delivered his
"Last Lecture",entitled
at prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /Carnegie Mellon University.
This talk was modeled after an ongoing series of
lectures where top academics are asked to think deeply
about what matters to them, and then give a hypothetical
"final talk", i.e., "what wisdom would you try to impart
to the world if you knew it was your last chance?"
Personally, I found this a very positive and uplifting life
story that is worth listening to. The video is 1 hr 44 min
long. You may skip the introduction to save you some
time.
Once again, may I take this opportunity to wish everyone
a HAPPY, HEALTHY & SUCCESSFUL Year of the
Ratfull of LOVEand DREAMS !
