there are something interesting that i read from newspaper:
in ancient rome, the punishment for a murderer is to tied up the dead body to the back of the murder till indefinite, no one can untied this. the murderer can live, eat, sleep but everyday, carrying the deceased who he/she killed even when the body is started to ruin. this is better than the jail system, the murderer has his/her punishment and we, the tax payers, dont need to pay for their jail to lock them up.
starting about 500 years ago, the west side of india has an annual ceremony for new-born baby (they still have this tradition in india now). they will take the new-born baby up on the roof of a 5-stories bldg and throw them away, the baby will be caught by a safety net on the ground. the baby will be blessed to have a healthy life after this ceremony. no accident has happened so far, amazing!
in most cultures, we pay money to the deceased's family at the funeral, usually cash in a white envelop. a new funeral place in korea added a credit card system so that all "guests" can pay by credit card and the deceased's family can view how much they have received from whom and whom. hum.....
