What Am I doing? Sunday Afternoon in Hong Kong, what else is there to do other than to play a part on a mockumentary on American Idol and be a part of history? They called it "The A Factor,"with three judges played by Simon Birch, Lisa S. & Tony Magnetic. All other actor/actress came in as a different famous modern artist. Guess who I was?Tracey Emins, crazy artist from England. A highly controversial feminist.Yes, she's always drunk and smoking 'fags'...so it DOES make sense for me to hold a tequila bottle and my breast. (See the similarity?)This is Tracey's art piece called where she stayed in during her suicidal days. There are used condoms, used menstral pads, stockings, cigarette butts, and random "personal" things strewn about. She wanted to share this with everyone to let people know that she has an intimate side, like everyone else...Her other piece where every name of every person she's been intimate with is listed inside. You have to crawl inside the tent to read it all. Reminds me of a postmodern version of Produced by Brian Yang.Ya, pretty abrasive character. LOVED playing her. Who wouldn't play extreme abrasiveness & perversion when given the freedom and opportunity? On top of it, you can call itWe are Chancery Art Gallery for the Shoot. Here is Vanessa the Prod.Manager trying to mess my hair more to look like Tracey.I start with interviews with Terrance Yin who plays a plasticky host. I hit on him several times because that's what my character would do. This is the back of Simon Yin's head. You can't see his facial expression but you can see that his mind is churning with regret on casting me... " he wonders, sweating profusely. (That's what you get, SY, for casting me in these sorts of characters instead of "sexy roles.")Then I had to go into the room and start doing improv as my character. What happened in the room... STAYS in the room...Look out for Simon Birch's next exhibition in Hong Kong's Taikoo Place April 2010 in a 20,000 square feet installation, called "Hope & Glory." Simon Birch, the talented & sexy modern artist who's face I generously licked, since he played one of the judges and was so spicy. He will a) never forget me and b) wash his face ... ever again... (reminder: I'm making HISTORY.)Thank you, Tracy Emins. For being you... giving me this opt to stretch my performance boundaries.Looking forward to seeing the video live as a part of a masterpiece I think I have just become part of history...
