Valentine's Month Performance

Happy 2016!  I haven't written a blog since my last show and guess what?  I have another show coming up in this month!  Now that I think about it....I only have a few wks before my next show!!!!  AH YA!  It's always pretty scary as the date gets closer and closer.  I love performing, yet there is nothing more dreadful than organising and creating my own show.  But, the show must go on!  And, all the pressure and stress that comes with it, is all worth it in the end.  The stress of getting all my songs memorised, and remembering dialogue,  worrying that I might get sick or won't be ready vocally (coz my MD, Amuer never allows me to sing anything easy, he challenges my voice for every show!!! Which is good but completely terrifying!)  and of course, the initial panic that tickets won't sell out.  

Yup, that's how I am feeling at the moment as I rehearse the show every day.  As I realise just how little time I have left!  And, I go through this every single time I have a show.  But, my passion for singing and performing  always erases the "before stage" and only defaults to the feelings I get "on stage".  And, that's why I do it!  And, I think that is what keeps me happy.  So...for those of you who are free on Thurs and Fri, Feb 25 and 26.  Pls come and support me at Orange Peel at 9pm for "All You Need is Love".  It is so important to me to have more people to support my shows.  So that I can pay my well deserved band AND have a reason to keep on performing!  Details are below:

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE (approx. 90min including a short intermission)   When we imagine our lives with another person, we often wonder, "Who will I end up with?” A relationship is the beginning of something and not the end. We should think of it more as, “Who will I begin my life with?”  Join Marsha as she tells a story about relationships and love through song in her live music cabaret, All You Need is Love.  Enjoy a mixture of tunes from the 1920s all the way to present day.
