been awhile

Well, it's been awhile since I wrote anything in my blog.  Let's see...what has happened...first of all, a quick update on my luggage situation....so far, no luck.  My suitcase is gone for now...but still waiting for a miracle.  I had to have someone buy new make up and face products from Hong Kong and send it over here.  Those type of products can be almost twice as expensive here in Shanghai. 

As for the competition....I competed on Friday and Saturday this week.  For the competition on Fri, I didn't perform very well.  My throat was a bit dry...and I think I probably didn't pick a very good song to do.  I sang a chinese song and added some spanish dancing.  I didn't get into the top 15 right away...so, that meant that I had to compete the following day (sat).  I sang the song "If I Loved You" while my cousin Lawrence helped me play guitar.  And, with that song I was able to get into the top 15.  So....next week we are going to be down to the top 10.  The saddest part of the show last night was that my good friend Xiao Jing (Joy) was voted out.  It's more about the fact that I won't be seeing her once she leaves tomorrow.  It's just sad to see a good friend go especially since I have  grown so used to having her around all the time.  well...hopefully we will have a lot of quality time together before she leaves.....Dai Wei (Vivi) is taking it even harder than me since they have been roommates from the very start of the show.
