shooting "Distance Runners" in Yunnan

I'm still in lovely Yunnan!

While most of the crew are covering themselves up with caps and long jackets to prevent their skin from getting darker etc, I've been walking around with tanning oil! I love a nice tan!

It's been taking a long time, but I think I finally see teeny bit result. I do think my forehead has a slight sunburn so maybe I should take it easy on the tanning oil now...

DOCTOR XU - more behind the scenes pics

I've been in Kunming for over a week now and enjoying every bit of it! The weather is great during the day and pleasantly cool at night. The air is so much cleaner than in Shanghai.

The first day here, I thought I was way out of shape when I got so out of breath after walking up to the 4th floor, but then I remembered we're on a high altitude so the air is much thinner! (yes it's a good excuse!)

I've been in Kunming for a few days now and I've mostly been hanging out with Lucky. We did our costume fittings, make up tests etc.

Today I had my first shooting day. We filmed near the green lake and it was a very sunny day!

Just got home from catching up with my friend Sunny.

I had loads of errands to run this morning and because the places I had to go to weren't spread out too much, I decided to take my pink bicycle. I normally only use it for when I go to the gym and getting groceries. It's my little contribution to the environment and a healthy way for myself to get around. Anyway, after having dinner I walked outside of the restaurant to go find my bicycle...however.. my pink friend was nowhere to be found...Gone...

Thank you for the encouraging messages!

I just got back from Holland and as usual, it was great seeing my family. I'm already missing them so much. I'm not someone who likes to leave depressing blogs, so I just want to say about the situation back in Holland: I will learn from it and become stronger!

I'm learning my lines right now for a new movie called Distance Runners directed by fellow AnD artist Robert Vicencio. I will be playing a Chinese doctor so I've started doing research about it.

I'm off to Holland again for a family emergency.

I was planning to go back in June, but it turned out to be much earlier than that now.

It will be great to see everyone though...

I'm about to start working on a new project. It's a movie that will be filmed in Yunnan.

I will blog about it when I'm back in SH again.

In the meantime... appreciate what you've got... love your friends and family... live each day like it's the last one...
