There are [choose color here] folks who just live in the company of other [same color here] folks and nobody else. Same goes for a lot other kinds of folks. You should check yourself. That goes beyond your playlist and music collection, too.

Don’t talk about equality or racism or any social movement going on til you really check yourself. Take a good look at all your friends and be honest with yourself. If you aren’t really living and practicing diversity, then you are a total hypocrite. Even if you don’t talk about this, you should check yourself.

Yes, it’s true that birds of a feather flock together. I can accept that. I just think we can all do better. I know I’m trying and am conscious, perhaps too conscious, of this.
