I just saw Wall - E last night. Maybe I'm a little dark, but I would have prefered the sad ending, where the main character Wall E doesn't recharge, and we are left to ponder about the true state of our current environment, not just ecologically speaking... But I understand economics, too and the demographic who are paying for the costs of this quite incredible production. I enjoyed the happy ending, too quite simply. But again, I think you know what I mean... if you've seen this flick...
Music I'm listening to these days:
Mississippi John Hurt - Worried Blues Elvis Presley - The Essential 70s Masters Billy Joel - Live at Carnegie Hall Dennis Wilson - Pacific Ocean Blue John Lennon - Double Fantasy John Mayer - Where The Light Is Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns Michael Franti - Love Kamikaze Jackson Browne - Late For The Sky Snooks Eaglin - New Orleans Street Singer

IN THE DISTANCE (Kevin So)
You’re going your way, I’m going mine I never thought the day would come But I’m not surprised The road divides
I can see you in the distance You’re making new strides We were once best friends You’d be there in an instant But months pass, we’ve compromised I never thought the day would come But I’m not surprised I’m not surprised
Pleated pants and black bowties Ballroom dances with a big raffle prize I turn it down and prefer the café My hair once brown has turned half grey
I can see you in the distance You’re making new strides We were once best friends I’d be there in an instant But years pass and we compromise I never thought the day would come When a new venture would arise New ventures will arise
…I can see you in the distance
Here's to the final days of the summer ks
