Dear Family and Friends...
If you are in the NYC area or know friends there who love musical theater, please let them know about this exciting weekend of shows.
[Casual, and probably biased review] This is simply lots of fun. With the sole accompaniment of a piano, you're gonna see some fancy choreography, big ensemble numbers, and gorgeous singing from the entire (and racially diverse - yay!) cast.
Also, there are actually many poignant "moments" throughout the play, and this is the first fully staged reading of our show since 2011. It's come a long way :)
The Pace University cast is truly magnificent. So young and gifted and I feel like a proud Dad. I am humbled by their tireless efforts, considering also the snowstorm earlier in the week, where the final 2 tech rehearsals ended up being cancelled.
Anyways. Rumor has it that Tony Award winning playwright David Hwang and my partner in crime Kevin Merritt will also be in the audience tonight... so who knows who else may show up?
Are YOU coming? :)
