I love technology. Awesome app by Wacom called Bamboo Paper (it's free!) for the iPad. It feels incredibly smooth to draw on, and there's this subtlety to the line quality that feels pretty close to drawing on paper. Here's a test, using theAlupenstylus.
I have a problem drawing on expensive papers, my drawings become so rigid and lifeless. Stage fright or something. With everyday printing paper I can let loose because I don't feel so guilty about costs and the carbon footprint. I feel the same way working digitally, though it can sometimes be frustrating because software can't mimic the feeling of putting pen on paper. But in the meantime this is a pretty awesome app and I recommend you to download it. It's only free until the end of this month.
