pardon my excitement! it's not often The Wife says "sure, go and enjoy the beatnuts on thanksgiving eve!" ?? those weren't her exact words but she did text me "watch out nowwwwww" as i was on my way out. i'm about to start my drive home now and it's apparent the party back at the club is just starting to "get lit" as the kids would say. but hey, i'm at my hearts content! it's hard to describe how humbling, encouraging and overall DOPE it is when you encounter these artists who you grew up listening to and totally absorbing their art.. for them to say "props to you Jin". for there to be that mutual appreciation is something i truly cherish. i beat myself up a lot (getting better now as i get older) about how some of the things unfolded with my rap career journey but experiences like tonight.. remind me what it was all about in the first place - the undeniable love, admiration and appreciation for this friend of mine called Hiphop. thank you @fatbuddhabar @djfuren for taking me back to what it all meant in the first place. #DoYouBelieve #YesIDo #IDontEvenHaveVideoOfMeRhymingAlongToOffTheBooksCauseIWasTooFocusedBeingTheOffStageHypeMan #ForeverAStudentAndFanOfTheArtOfMcing
