Meet my new friend Joshua. Less than 20 seconds into our conversation it was apparent that this kid has a heart and love for Hiphop that is special. I ask him, "so who do you listen to?", thinking he'd say Kendrick, Eminem, etc (considering the era he's growing up in) but when the words "Nas, Common, De La..." came out of his mouth, I knew we would have a special connection. I told him one of my favorite Hiphop joints of ALL TIME was Common's I Used To Love Her. Then as if on cue, we start rhyming the first two lines of the song together.. "I met this girl when I was 10 years old and what I loved most she had so much soul". To wrap up our lil pow wow, he offered to rhyme his fave Aceyalone track.
