今天要感恩的是个特别的群体。感恩那些从小到现在，不论是出于有意或无意攻击，对我挑战批评伤害的朋友们。为什么这么说？生命中不可能只有美好快乐的时光，也有痛苦和伤害，而这都是生命的一部份。有负面的障碍，使我更加坚强，也让我更加努力克服生命的缺陷；若没有负面的因素，也没有今天的李连杰。我年轻时不理解，造成痛苦烦恼。我现在要对这些朋友们道歉，感恩大家给予我生命的动力，造就了我。我也会把这感恩之情，在未来的慈善事业上变成一种动力，回馈社会。

其实负面并不可怕，就像在霍元甲（Fearless）里头说的：人家说我是东亚病夫，其实并不可怕，我若真有病，还得感谢他们，因为他们提醒了我；若我没病，你说我是东亚病夫那也不过是个笑话而已。

身为人，要了解自己。有问题就改正，有病就去治，就怕有病不知道，还不去治，这才是真正的病夫。我真诚地感恩所有给我带来障碍的人们，并祝福大家幸福快乐，积极开朗地面对人生。

Today I express gratitude for a very special group.  It is for those friends who, from the time I was a child until now, have (intentionally or otherwise) challenged, judged or injured me.  Why do I state it in this way?

In life things are not always just roses and happiness.  Pain and suffering is also a part of life.  Negative obstacles forcing me to work hard to overcome life's imperfections have made me stronger.  Without these challenges the Jet Li of today would be much different.  When I was young I didn't understand this and it caused me a lot of pain and worry.  I'd like to appologize to these friends now and thank them for providing motivation in my life, to bring about the person I have become.  I will take this gratitude and give it back to society and put my effort into charity work.

Difficult challenges aren't scary.  Just like the in the movie FEARLESS, if others remind us of our weakness and frailties, then we should thank them for reminding us what we need to work on.  And if they point out weakness and frailty that doesn't exist, then it's just laughable.

Being human, one must have self-awareness.  If there is a problem, then correct it.  If there is illness, get it treated.  The fear comes from having a problem and not addressing it.  The real illness is in knowing you have an illness and not getting help. 

I sincerely thank those who provided obstacles in my life, and wish them great happiness, and a life full of joy.
