Challenge Completed | 过了一关

一场感情戏终于拍完了，真不容易。

一连拍了三天，每天晚上都很冷，我穿着起码有二三十斤重的盔甲，在坑道里追我们的女主角，一追追了三天。原来追女孩并不容易。

我永远觉得拍感情戏要比动作戏困难得多，对于我来讲。还记得92年拍《东方不败》，有一场戏是讲，我错把余安安演的角色当做林青霞的角色，发生了一场误会，有一场床上的戏。我记得当时徐克导演头都大了，努力得拍，这么拍，那么拍...拍了很久，把他累得满头大汗，最后他跟我说：“怎么给我的感觉拍出来好像你被人强奸似的。”

如今十五六年过去了，希望能有所进步，所以经过这三天，终于拍完了的时候我走到导演跟前，看他是否会说出同样的话。好在导演还满意，真不容易，又过了一关！

It wasn’t easy, but I finished filming the love sequence. We filmed this scene for three days straight in the freezing evening weather. The general’s armor I wore in this scene weighs at least 30 pounds. I had to wear this while running in a tunnel, chasing the female lead. It turns out chasing women is not easy!

To me, filming a love sequence is much harder than filming action sequences. I remember when I was filming Swordsmen II in 1992 there was a love scene. I remember Tsui Hark put a lot of effort into filming that scene and tried many ways to capture it. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t capture the scene he wanted. He said to me, “How come filming you in a romantic scene feels like you are being assaulted?”

I hope I have shown some improvement in the past 15, 16 years. After three days of filming, I went to Peter to see what he had to say this time. Thank goodness he was satisfied with the result. Truly it’s not an easy thing; finally I’ve completed this challenge.
