2019 will be the year of venturing outside my own Asian American identity and cultural heritage. First stop is no strange territory to me as I have many friends and associates from the African American community going way back since my childhood years in San Francisco and throughout my life. My first roommate was a negro as I was taught to say by this kid whose name was Leroy in 1965.
