Hello, and welcome to my Alive not Dead page. A little bit about me:
I'm a San Francisco based singer/songwriter/musician/dude about to release his second album of beatles inspired ditties. I recently re-released my first album "Daylight Savings" that I originally wrote and recorded in my bedroom around 2004. Since then, I've done some film score work for the movies "A Good Year" and "American Gangster"... mainly playing guitar and making spooky sounds in the background. I also had the good fortune of getting my song "Daylight Savings" on the soundtrack for the film "Feast of Love" starring Morgan Freeman and Greg Kinnear. It didn't do so hot in the box office, but I highly reccommend reading the book that it's based on by Charles Baxter. There are a lot of beautiful naked people in the movie. Go rent it and listen for my song playing very quietly in the background in the first cafe scene (no naked people in that scene, sorry).
There's such a wonderful close knit circle of artists/musicians/film-makers/all-around-awesome people here in the bay area! I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon them and have the privilege to call some of them my friends.
I'll do my best to post here and give a glimpse of what I've been up to...
oh, if you live in SF - go see Mia Doi Todd tomorrow night (3/27) at the Fillmore. She's opening for Jose Gonzales. She is one of my very favorite songwriters at the moment.
