I was joking around after I won the SF Weekly Award (I was in Belgium at the time of the awards night) and
was wondering if they gave out trophies… well, lo and behold, a few weeks later they emailed me telling me
that they had a trophy available for me. Thanks to everyone for voting, I wasn’t expecting this at all.
In other news, I’ve been meaning to put out a limited edition EP for a long time, and this is a great occasion for it.
I just signed, numbered, and burned 23 CDs with 7 songs- all unreleased versions until now.
They’ll be available at the opening night screening(Nov 20th in Los Angeles) of my friend Patrick Epino’s film “Mr. Sadman”, which
features 3 of my songs ( Track 1 being written specifically for one scene) I’ll be playing a 45 minute set before the film, so I hope you can come out!
Here’s the track list:
Mr. Sadman
Section of Sky #6 (Mr. Sadman end credits)
Hangman (unreleased version)
Somewhere (unreleased version)
Daylight Savings 5/2007 (unreleased version)
Flowers (Live at Cafe Du Nord)
Here’s info about the Screening/performance!
“Mr. Sadman” is now available as a download for purchase at http://mrsadman.com. We’re donating a dollar from every download to Oxfam’s typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.
