Here’s the short animation I scored for Eric Nakamura and Saelee Oh earlier this year. I can’t remember if Eric asked me to do it, or I offered to score it, but I remember being really excited to work on it. I did two drafts of the music, the first draft was a lot faster and crazier, kind of like a cross between Frank Zappa and the Disneyland Electrical Light Parade.
It was cool, but needed to be slowed down abit, so I recorded it again. The final version took like under an hour to finish. It was a blast and I hope to score some more stuff like this in the near future!
Speaking of which…
I’m currently working on the score to the Surrogate Valentine movie which wrapped shooting a month ago. I recently had the pleasure of going to the Hangar Studio in Sacramento with Drummer Tim Bulkely and producer/audio guru Kurt Kurasaki to record some guitar/drum stuff. It was a hot one (106 F) but we managed to escape with our sanity and some cool tracks that will be released in conjunction with the film in 2011.
Can't wait to get this to your ears/eyes...
I had a dream in black and white...
