My new album, Legendary Warriors, is released today. It is inspired by my love of martial arts films from Asia, so I set out to compose music that would evoke images of warriors from the past. It contains epic themes scored for orchestra with traditional instruments from China and Japan, including erhu (Chinese fiddle), bamboo flute, guzheng (Chinese string zither), taiko drums, and many more. A friend of mine that I gave a copy to, enjoyed the album so much, he got it on with a girl while listening to the a...Read more
ASIAN STORIES came out today on DVD. Check it out on Amazon, Netflix, Blockbuster, or where ever it is you get DVD's. And no, it's not in the adult only section of your local video store. Sailfish was released in China about a month ago. It's Chinese name is Qi Yu. I'm not sure if it's still playing there, but my dad sent me this link about the film. I don't read Chinese, so I'm not sure what's on it, but it looks pretty cool.

A friend of mine produced this 20 minute history lesson, and used my music in the background. Today I found out it's ranked #2 in the spoken word section of iTunes!
Wow, I had a crazy weekend! I competed in a Rock Band charity tournament and my band, The Anorexic Turtles, WON! 100% of the proceeds from the tournament will go to Mercy Corps' COMFORT FOR KIDS, a program helping earthquake survivors in Sichuan, China.
So I've been working long hours everyday for a few weeks to finish scoring an awesome and funny romantic comedy called Asian Stories (starring James Kyson Lee from "Heroes" and Kathy Uyen). I finally finished writing and my friend Scott Tang wanted ...Read more
