I prefer living in flats than houses, cuz it's more cozy.  And in Hong Kong, people mostly live in flats. 

But there's one thing i am pretty sure no one can stand.

That's when someone living in your building is having a renovation.

Yes, having one renovation means drilling and drilling and drilling from 9am-6pm.  Including Saturday.

But that's nothing compared to the whole building renovation.

Yes, the earth is dying, air, water, all kinds of pollution. 

But i'm dying too, to noise pollution.

As a composer, my ears are my asset.  And they are being attacked by massive terrorist bombing, every day, Dolby + THX surround style.

Whole building renovation differs from just neighbor's renovation in many ways.  It means, they are taking down and putting up a new outter layer of wall, the whole *X@  building. 

What does that mean?

It means if it's just your neighbor doing renovation, there's usually just one drill going on, and drilling is pretty tiring, so that guy stops a little after 20 seconds, break 1 min or 2, then goes at it again.

Whole building drilling means there are at least 4-5 guys doing the drill, east, west, north, south and these guys i don't know what happened to them, they must have taken steriods. 

THEY DON'T BREAK!!

Not even the usual HK 3:30pm tea time!

Why are you guys so hard working!!!!???

The only break i get is their lunch break.

I mean they drill for minutes, 3 - 4 of them at the same time, and just when the east, west, and north guy stops, the SOUTH guy comes on again, and then the whole shebangs starts again.

And then there are big chunks of the wall falling and bounces off my windows, certainly feels like they are going crack or break my window one of these days.  No wonder they put plastic tapes all over my windows.

When i realize i have to put up the volume of my TV to notch #30 instead of the usual 10, i know i have to put on earplugs to protect my virgin ears.

And i just can't imagine what my 2 dogs are going through.  I know their hearing is probably twice as sensitive. 

If only they can write blogs...... i'd like to know what they have to say!

I cannot imagine anything worse at the moment, the only thing i can think of is GTFO my flat.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention, this ordeal lasts at least 6 months.   OMG!

但是有一件事情我非常確定是人們無法忍受的。

那就是當與你住在同一棟大樓的用戶正在進行裝修。

是的，在裝修意味著無休止的打孔、打孔、打孔，從上午九點直到下午六點，其中包括周六。

但是與整棟大樓翻修相比這些變得不值一提。

是的，地球正在趨向毀滅，空氣，水，各種各樣的汙染

但是我也奄奄一息，因為噪音汙染。

作為一名作曲家，耳朵是我的財產，它們正被巨大的恐怖爆炸聲浪襲擊，每一天，杜比+THX的環繞音效。

整座大樓的裝修與個別鄰居的裝修在很多方面都會有所不同。這意味著他們在拆除舊的並且重新建造一面外墻壁層，整棟大樓！

這意味著什麼？

意味著如果只是你的鄰居在裝修那麼通常只有一個打孔工作在進行，並且打孔是件很累的工作，所以那個家夥在20秒之後會停頓一會休息一兩分鐘，然後繼續。

整座大樓打孔表示至少有4到5個家夥同時在鉆孔，東西南北。我不知道這些家夥發生了什麼，跟打了雞血似的。

他們不曾停歇！

甚至在香港下午3點半的午茶時間都沒停過。

為什麼你們這些家夥要如此賣命工作!!!!????

我唯一的休息時間是他們的午餐空當。

我的意思是他們每時每刻都在鉆孔，其中的3、4個人同時進行，當東邊、北邊、西邊的家夥恰好停下來的時候，南面的家夥再一次開始，緊接著所有的工作又一次重新開始。

並且有大塊的墻皮落下然後在我的窗戶上反彈出去，感覺像是這幾天內它們將打破我的窗戶。難怪他們在我的窗戶上粘滿了塑料膠帶。

當我發現不得不將電視機的音量從一般的10級加到30，我必須要戴上耳塞來保護純潔的耳膜。

然而我不能想象我的兩條狗在忍受什麽折磨，它們的聽力差不多是雙倍於人耳的敏感程度。

要是它們能寫博客的話… …我不知道他們會說些什麼!!

此刻我想象不出還有比這更糟的事情，唯一能想到的事情就是滾出我的公寓！

噢，是的，我忘記了提及，這項嚴酷的考驗已持續了至少六個月，噢，我的天啊！
