Authors by Accident

I started to write when I left the army and started my married life at the age of 21. I realised although clutching my degree in Freelance Journalism did not mean I could write anything except reporting the facts of what my editor told me to go and write about, mostly cinema reviews at midnight watching the movies due to come out in two weeks time. My efforts to write never got very far and now at the age of 60 I realise that I actually had nothing to say. Later in life after becoming a doctor of psychology, and seeing 100's of patients I finally had things to say. My first book was actually about my travels all over the world and the amusing things that happened to me. The second born out of 14 years in China was a look into the mind of the Chinese person and society. It was a wonderful feeling to see both actually published and appear in the Amazon listings. Maybe they will never be best sellers but that is not the point of writing. I will in between other work write my next book - about what I am still tossing about ideas. One day - the third will emerge.
