They say that eating curry is like a feast for all the senses. I’m not sure about all the senses but I did enjoy making curry with my good friend D.Y. Sao. I’ve had D.Y. over for dinner many times before but this was a rare occasion where he helped me prepare the meal. In my fam bam we eat curry one or twice a week but this was my first time making the dish and lucky for me D.Y. had made curry before. I don’t know why I was surprised because he’s a gluttonous consumer of food. I enjoyed spending quality time with him talking about life in general and not the project or the biz. It made me appreciate the friendship we have and not in a “Broke-Back” way but a “Brotherly” way. We have so much in common and despite the age difference I get him… The curry turned out really good even though I forgot to add potatoes (Doh!), and the dinner conversation was nice. Cooking is a labor of love and it brings people together to bond over the preparation of a delicious meal. I look forward to whipping up another dish with my Asian brother from another mother.
