After last week's DJ set, the vibe from that night pushed me to make this track. I'll be DJing more often again starting in August (my new 15" MacBook Pro arrives today which also make the decision to take things more seriously, my old G4 Powerbook struggles to keep up) and be playing more often will hopefully push me to make more club music more often.
Incidentally, this is the first rack I've written in a long time that I would actually play out. I've been stuck in the weird halfway house (no, that's not a genre) where the music I write and the music I spin are two completely different things. Getting the Rendition album out of the way and seeing the reaction to that music, has spurred me on to make a division between my club music production and my art music.
