So, I’m pretty sure that I fainted for the first time in my life last night.
I got out of bed around 1:30 a.m. I staggered to the bathroom like I usually do. Then, I remember briefly feeling like I’d had one too many or something...
The next thing I knew, I was waking up on the bathroom floor. I was on my back. The towel holder next to the commode was pulled off the wall. The stuff on the counter was knocked onto the floor. The trashcan was turned over. And I had a bump on my forehead.
It was 1:41 a.m.
It was so surreal. Now, I’ve experienced mild “head rushes” before while getting up to go to the bathroom late at night, but have never actually lost consciousness.
Has this or anything like this ever happened to any of you?
Naturally, since Alphas don't faint, my inner conspiracy theorist can't yet rule out the very real possibility that I was poisoned, knocked unconscious by a home invader, abducted by aliens, or maybe even entered a wormhole like Jodie Foster at the end of "Contact." The lab results, which will hopefully shed some light on what really happened during those missing eleven minutes, are still pending.
The truth is out there.
